Tonya L. Hicks

In loving memory of Tonya L. Hicks, a cherished soul who graced this world with her warmth and kindness. Born on June 25, 1957, Tonya was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her. She departed this earthly realm on August 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and joy that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Tonya was the beloved daughter of Carl and Lavern Richardson, who instilled in her the values of love, integrity, and resilience. She was predeceased by her dear brother Carl Jr. Richardson, her sister-in-law Patricia Richardson, and her sister Brenda Richardson, with whom she shared countless memories and cherished bonds. Surviving Tonya is her devoted sister Patricia Taylor, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Tonya’s love and nurturing spirit live on through her three daughters: Brandy (Chris) Pschirer, Amanda Hicks, and Dusty Vaughn. As a mother, she was a guiding light, offering endless encouragement and support to her children. Her legacy continues in the laughter and smiles of her six grandchildren: Garrett, Lilly, and Layla Pschirer, Ashton and Noah Vaughn, and Decklyn Hicks. Each of them carries a piece of her heart, embodying the love and wisdom she imparted. A celebration of Tonya's life will be held on August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Day 41 Church, located at 2873 Prospect Rd, Nauvoo, AL 35578. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose life was a testament to love and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Tonya's giving spirit and her dedication to helping others. Tonya L. Hicks will be remembered not only for her boundless love and generosity but also for her unwavering strength and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished forever, as her spirit continues to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
