In Loving Memory

Tony T. Irby
September 1, 2007 — June 1, 2026
In loving memory of Tony T. Irby, whose remarkable spirit graced this world from September 1, 2007, to June 1, 2026. Born in the heart of Battle Creek, Michigan, Tony left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him, and his presence will forever be cherished.
Tony was the beloved son of Annette and Earl Irby, who nurtured and supported him every step of the way. He was also a devoted brother and was dearly loved by his siblings, aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of friends who stood by him throughout his journey. Tony is preceded in death by his cherished grandmother, whose memory he held close to his heart.
A proud graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Class of 2024, Tony excelled in his studies, earning honors and the admiration of his teachers and peers. Driven by curiosity and ambition, he pursued his passion for engineering at Kellogg Community College, where he was known for his dedication and determination.
Tony was a cherished member of the First Pentecostal Worship Center in Battle Creek, where he grew up playing in the pulpit. His faith and devotion were unwavering, and he aspired to one day share his testimony of resilience and hope, having bravely faced his battle with illness. Though that day did not come, his strength and courage continue to inspire all who knew him.
An avid fisherman, Tony found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of nature. With his fishing pole in hand, he would rise early and make his way to the creek, content with the peace it brought him. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his passion for sports, including football, basketball, and baseball.
Tony's quick wit and warm smile were his trademarks, and he had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and his ability to lift spirits with a joke or a kind word will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to celebrate Tony's life will be held on June 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Worship Center, located at 321 Main St., Battle Creek, MI 49017. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of a young man whose light shone brightly, even in the face of adversity.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bronson Memorial Hospital in gratitude for the compassionate care Tony received during his illness.
As we bid farewell to Tony, let us hold onto the memories of his radiant smile, his unwavering spirit, and the love he shared with us all. He may have left this world, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on in our hearts forever.
