Tony (Leslie) Donato-Dowdell

Tony Leslie Donato Dowdell, son of the late Joe Louis Dowdell and bonus mother Genevia Adams-Dowdell, was born on May 2, 1958. He passed away peacefully on October 6th with his loving sister by his side after battling prostate cancer for 3 years Tony attended his early school years in Seaside, California, then moved to Hartford, Connecticut, where he attended Thomas Snell Weaver High School and graduated in 1977. Shortly after graduating, he relocated to Albany, Alabama, where he lived with his grandmother Claire Mae Dowdell. In 1992, Tony and his grandmother moved to San Antonio, Texas, to be closer to family. Tony loved his family and friends. He was known for helping everyone who needed a helping hand. He loved cleaning the house and took the job seriously; his apartment was always immaculate. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, spades, watching old western movies, working on cars, and listening to old-school R&B and down-home blues. Tony leaves to cherish his memories his loving siblings Angela Coston of Tampa, Florida, Michael B.
