Tony Contente

April 3, 1937 — April 3, 2026

With heavy hearts but profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Tony Contente, who left this world peacefully on his 89th birthday, April 3, 2026. Born in the close-knit community of Stratford on April 3, 1937, Tony was the cherished son of Manuel and Francisca Contente. He now joins his dear parents and siblings, Hazel Garcia, Maimie Evangelo, and Joe Contente, in eternal rest. Tony's journey was one of dedication, love, and unwavering commitment to family. A proud graduate of Lemoore High School and the College of the Sequoias, Tony's thirst for knowledge and sense of duty led him to serve his country with honor in the National Guard. His work ethic was unparalleled, culminating in a fulfilling career from which he retired at Armstrong/Pirelli Tires, where he forged lasting friendships and left an indelible mark. Tony's life was a testament to the power of love and family. He shared a blessed union with his devoted wife, Naoma, whose love and partnership were the cornerstone of his existence. Together, they nurtured a family that was the pride and joy of Tony's heart. His legacy lives on through his loving children: David (Crissy) Contente, Nancy (Tim) Contente, and Paula Contente Borges. As a grandfather, Tony found immense joy and pride in his grandchildren, Mitchell (Kellie) Borges, Megan Borges, Joseph Contente, and Anthony Contente. He was their guiding star, imparting wisdom, joy, and a sense of adventure. Tony's life will be celebrated with a service held on May 12, 2026, at 11:30 PM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, located at 870 N. Lemoore Avenue. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Tony’s warmth and generosity are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the man who lived with integrity, kindness, and a gentle spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity close to Tony's heart, reflecting his lifelong commitment to community and service. As we say goodbye to Tony, we hold onto the memories and lessons he imparted, ensuring that his spirit continues to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, dear Tony. You are deeply loved, immensely missed, and will forever remain in our hearts.
