Toni Alana Grofski
May 2, 1986 — May 19, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Toni Alana Grofski, a beloved daughter, devoted mother, cherished sister, and treasured friend. Toni departed this world peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 2, 1986, in Christchurch, New Zealand, Toni was a shining light whose spirit touched many lives throughout her 40 years.
Toni’s early years began in Kaiapoi North, New Zealand, where she first attended primary school. In 1992, her family relocated to Australia, where she continued her education at Laidley North Primary and later attended Ipswich High. It was there that she forged lifelong friendships, many of whom are here today to honor her memory. Toni completed her schooling at Bennowa High on the Gold Coast, where her adventurous spirit and zest for life began to truly blossom.
Her career was as dynamic and varied as her personality. Toni worked as a lead specification officer, a role that showcased her remarkable work ethic and tenacity. Back in October 2006, with the help of her sister Tammy, Toni embarked on a career at JBS Dinmore. She quickly climbed the ranks, becoming a Production Clerk, a position she embraced with characteristic dedication and a touch of humor. At Dinmore, Toni not only excelled professionally but also built enduring friendships, connecting with colleagues in a way that only she could—through laughter, hard work, and genuine care.
In April 2021, Toni joined Kilcoy Global Foods, reuniting with her dear friend Amber. Their bond was a testament to her loyalty and warmth, as they navigated both work and life’s challenges with grace and humor. Toni’s time at Kilcoy was filled with memorable events, including an unforgettable flood week that turned Ann and Paul’s lawn into a helicopter pad—a story that brought much joy to her daughter, Aubree. At Kilcoy, Toni formed a special friendship with Pania, further testament to her ability to make lasting connections wherever she went.
Toni’s adventurous spirit was not confined to her work. She traveled extensively, with trips to England and France igniting her passion for exploration. Her thirst for adventure led her to become a "carni," traveling around Australia and embracing the rich tapestry of life on the road. She also spent a summer working at a special needs camp in Texas, an experience that highlighted her compassionate heart.
Beyond her professional achievements and travels, Toni’s greatest joy was her daughter, Aubree. Toni’s love for Aubree was boundless, and she took immense pride in her role as a mother, always striving to create a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Toni leaves behind a family who adored her: her loving parents Ann and Paul, her daughter Aubree, and her supportive siblings. She was preceded in death by her father Tony. Her family finds comfort in the countless memories they shared and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Toni’s life, with family and friends gathering to celebrate the incredible woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity close to Toni’s heart.
As we gather to remember Toni, we hold dear the many moments of joy and laughter she shared with us. Her spirit will live on in the stories, the smiles, and the love she leaves behind. Toni Alana Grofski was a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and an unwavering zest for life. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
