Tommy (Thomas)

October 8, 1970 — June 14, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas "Tommy" Hanmer, who left this world unexpectedly on June 14, 2026, at his home. Born on October 8, 1970, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tommy lived a life filled with laughter, love, and the joy of family and friends. Tommy was the beloved son of Lorraine Hanmer and the late Lawrence Hanmer, who predeceased him. From a young age, Tommy's infectious sense of humor and boundless energy endeared him to everyone he met. He had an extraordinary ability to light up any room, leaving those around him with smiles and fond memories. For over 25 years, Tommy dedicated himself to his work as a Printing Press Operator. His commitment and expertise were admired by colleagues and friends alike, and he took great pride in his craft. Yet, beyond his professional achievements, it was his personal qualities that truly defined him. Tommy sure knew how to make us laugh and have a great time, always ready with a joke or a warm smile. Family was the cornerstone of Tommy's life. He is survived by his cherished daughters, Cherise and Brittany, who were his pride and joy. Tommy's sisters, Patti (Duke) Babic and Barbara Stevenson, held a special place in his heart, and he shared countless treasured moments with them. His nephews, Gregory and Jeffrey Babic, and Paul, Nicholas, and Ryan (Gina) Stevenson, along with many aunts, uncles, great-nieces, and nephews, will forever hold him in their memories. Tommy's love for fishing was legendary among his family and friends. Many joyous days were spent by the water, where he would gleefully chant "Here Fishy Fishy, Fishy," a phrase that will echo fondly in the hearts of those who fished by his side. Music was another passion that filled his life with happiness, often bringing people together in celebration and camaraderie. Though Tommy did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy lives on in the laughter and love he shared with those around him. He leaves behind a community enriched by his generosity of spirit and kindness. As we bid farewell to Tommy, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. A memorial service to honor Tommy's life will be held at [Location], on [Date] at [Time]. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tommy's name to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of giving and kindness. Rest in peace, dear Tommy. We will carry your laughter and love in our hearts always.
