Tommy Mock, a cherished soul born on March 12, 1939, in Crenshaw, Alabama, peacefully passed away on September 23, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's and dementia. Tommy was a beloved son to GoldenT and Lucille and a guiding light to his family. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Leroy, sisters Della, Alice, Erra, Liz, and Alice, as well as his first wife, Dorothy Mae, and his sons Lester, Chester, Larry, and Tony Curtis.
Tommy was a devoted family man and is survived by his daughter Tracy, son Kenny, his second wife Betty McKinney, and her daughters Teresa and Debbie. He leaves behind a loving extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Tommy's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. Throughout his career, he worked various jobs, including in security, at a slaughterhouse, and as a forklift operator. Despite his demanding work life, Tommy always made time for his passions. He found joy in tending to his vegetable gardens, a hobby that connected him with nature and brought peace to his days. A man of simple pleasures, he enjoyed fishing and was known to keep a Buick, always ready for an adventure. He also occasionally found delight in the excitement of greyhound races.
A man of faith, Tommy was an active member of the Greater Springfield Church of God in Christ in Chicopee, Massachusetts. His faith and community were sources of strength and solace throughout his life.
Tommy's life will be celebrated at a service on October 7, 2026, at Harrell's Funeral Home. His family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have supported them and wishes to thank those who will be present at his service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Tommy's loving memory.
