Tommy Joe Turner III (Trip)

March 29, 2003 — July 28, 2026

Tommy Joe Turner III (Trip), age 23, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on July 28, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever miss him. Born on March 29, 2003 Trip brought love, laughter, and a special light into the lives of those around him. He was a young man who was deeply loved and will be remembered for the person he was—the kindness he showed, the moments of laughter he shared, and the lasting impression he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His life, though far too short, was meaningful and touched the hearts of many. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Danielle and Tommy Turner Jr, sister Gabriella Turner and brother Gavin Turner, great-grandmothers Wanda McCollum and Harumi Johnson, grandparents Cynthia Whistle and her husband Dan Dieffenbacher, Dana Wilson and her husband David Wilson, Johnny Johnson and his wife Kathy Johnson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who will carry his memory with them. Trip was preceded in death by his grandfather Tommy Turner Sr, and great grandparents Bill McCollum, Bob and Joanna Turner, Ann and Bob Whistle, and Don Johnson. Trip enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, going to Rangers games, playing basketball, listening to music, traveling and camping. His absence leaves an emptiness that words cannot express, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and love for those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Funeral Program

Poem / Prayer

If tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand.
