Tommy Farmer was born on April 20, 1948, in Cleveland, Mississippi, to the late Beulah Farmer-Curtis and James Farmer. He was lovingly raised by his paternal grandmother, Alberta Todd-Wilkins, and his aunt, Pearlie Todd-Lacey, whose unwavering love, guidance, and care helped shape the compassionate and generous man he became.
Faith was an important foundation in Tommy’s life. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and united with Old Saint Phillip Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend L. R. Skipper. His faith remained a source of strength and comfort throughout his life, especially during his declining health.
Tommy received his education in the Cleveland School District, attending H. M. Nailor Elementary School and East Side High School. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, determination, and an independent spirit. He faithfully served the City of Cleveland for many years before establishing himself as an entrepreneur in the plumbing industry. Through his business, he took pride in his work and remained dedicated to serving others with skill and integrity.
Tommy was known for his generous heart, unwavering perseverance, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Family held a special place in his life, and he found great joy in spending time with those he loved. He had a remarkable sense of humor, a playful spirit, and a gift for bringing laughter into any room. Whether sharing a joke, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, Tommy left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Tommy leaves to cherish his precious memory his daughter, Angelia (Andrea) Williams, and his beloved extended family. He shared an especially close and cherished bond with his niece, Patrina (Phernando) Farmer-Wade, and his nephew, Christopher (Chestine) Farmer. His memory will also be treasured by his nephews, Terrance Hollingsworth and Timothy Gunn; his lifelong friend, Joseph Stout, whose friendship and companionship meant so much to him; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Beulah Farmer-Curtis and James Farmer, and his brothers, Franklin Farmer, Jimmy Farmer, and James Farmer.
Tommy’s life was filled with love, laughter, perseverance, and generosity. Though his earthly journey has ended, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to family will continue to inspire and comfort those he leaves behind.
His life was a blessing, his laughter a gift, and his memory a treasure that will forever live in our hearts.

If Roses Grow In Heaven
If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord, please pick a bunch for me,
place them in my father’s arms
and tell him they’re from me.
Tell him I love him and miss him,
and when he turns to smile,
place a kiss upon his cheek
and hold him for a while.
Because remembering him is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart,
that will never go away.
Love Angelia and Andrea
