December 9, 1941 — February 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of our beloved Tommie "Red" Frierson, who peacefully departed this world on February 25, 2026, at the age of 84, due to natural causes. Tommie was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her, leaving a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be cherished forever. Born on December 9, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, Tommie brought joy and vibrancy to her parents, James Franklin and Lee Eunice Rambo, who she now joins in eternal rest. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Joshua Frierson, with whom she shared a beautiful life until his passing. Tommie was a proud graduate of ABC High School and went on to build a fulfilling career as a beauty consultant at Neiman Marcus in Fort Worth. Her passion for all things beauty, particularly skincare, hair, and cosmetics, was not just her profession but a way she connected with others, making them feel as beautiful on the outside as they were on the inside. A devoted member of Pleasant Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in the Como neighborhood of Fort Worth, Tommie's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She cherished her time singing in the choir and took great pride in overseeing the Kitchen Ministry, where she nurtured both body and spirit with her culinary talents and generous heart. Tommie was a lifelong supporter of her Dallas Cowboys, sharing the thrills and heartaches of each season with friends and family. Her infectious spirit and enthusiasm for the team were a testament to her loyalty and zest for life. Though her parents and husband have gone before her, Tommie's legacy continues through her cherished nieces, Lauren Rambo Hill and Christy Clark, who were like daughters to her. Her love and wisdom will remain a guiding light in their lives. A celebration of Tommie "Red" Frierson's life will take place on March 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, located at 5312 Houghton Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Tommie are warmly invited to join in honoring and remembering her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Kitchen Ministry at Pleasant Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, in memory of Tommie's dedication and love for her church community. As we say goodbye to Tommie, we hold close the memories of her vibrant spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, a testament to a life filled with grace, beauty, and boundless love.
