With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Tomalin "Tommy" Gnann, who departed this world on April 17, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on July 21, 1938, in the quaint town of Somerset, Pennsylvania, Tommy lived a life rich in love, kindness, and community spirit.
Tommy was the beloved daughter of Mary and Ralph Myers, whose values of kindness and generosity she carried throughout her life. She is predeceased by her parents, her siblings Mardee, Pete, and Randi, her devoted husband Van Gnann, and her cherished son Bobby Galit. Tommy leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving children Jill Galit, Jeff Galit, Jonnie Galit, and Chip Phillips, and her treasured grandchildren Justin, Austin, and Aubrie, who all carry forward her spirit and values.
In her early years, Tommy met and married the love of her life, Van Gnann. Together, they built a warm, welcoming home where they raised their children with love and care. Their partnership extended beyond their family, as they owned and operated a local liquor store that became a pillar in their community. Their store was not just a business but a gathering place where friendships were nurtured and a sense of belonging was fostered.
Tommy was a beacon of joy and optimism, her smile lighting up every room she entered. She was known for her generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a comforting meal. Cooking was one of her passions, and her kitchen was often filled with the aromas of her culinary creations, serving as a backdrop to countless family gatherings and celebrations.
Her love for animals was only matched by her devotion to her family. Tommy’s home was always a haven for pets, each one finding a place in her heart and home. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them in every way possible.
As we gather to celebrate Tommy's life, we hold dear the memories of her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering optimism. A service honoring her memory will be held on May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Click Funeral Home, located at 3600 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Here, family and friends will come together to reminisce and find comfort in the shared love and memories of a life well-lived.
Though Tommy has left this earthly realm, her spirit remains with us, her legacy of kindness and love enduring in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered, as her light continues to shine brightly through her family and the countless lives she touched.
Rest in peace, dear Tommy. Your life was a beautiful gift, and we are eternally grateful for having shared in it.
