August 11, 1910 — October 31, 1935
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Robinson, who departed from this world on October 31, 1935, at the tender age of 25. Born on August 11, 1910, in the close-knit community of Goon Town, Alabama, Tom's life was a tapestry of complexity and passion, woven with threads of both hardship and humor.
Tom was the beloved son of Bentley and Epstein Robinson, who instilled in him a tenacious spirit and a love for life's adventures. Though his journey was a short one, it was marked by unforgettable memories and connections that left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
A scholar at heart, Tom pursued his education at Goon Tech, where he achieved a master's degree in an unusual yet spirited discipline, pocket pool. His intellectual curiosity was matched only by his adventurous spirit, which led him to serve his country with honor in the Navy. His time in service was emblematic of his courage and dedication, traits that continued to define his character throughout his life.
Tom found solace and companionship in the love of his life, Helen Keller, with whom he shared a profound bond. Their partnership was a testament to the power of love to transcend life's challenges. Together, they created a family filled with warmth and laughter, sharing countless cherished moments that will be remembered forever by their surviving family members, including Helen, Emilia Airheart, Carsyn Fisher, and J. James Epstein.
Though Tom grappled with personal demons, his life was not without joy. Known to "goon day and night," he found delight in the simple pleasures of life and was an enthusiastic participant in spirited gatherings with friends and family. His memory serves as a poignant reminder of the complexity of the human experience, encompassing both light and shadow.
Tom's life was celebrated at St. Corn on October 4, 2034, a gathering that brought together all those who knew and loved him. The service, held at 123 Butthead Street, was a moving tribute to a life lived with vigor and fervor.
As we bid farewell to Tom, we hold close the special message from his family: "We wished him a peaceful goon." These words reflect the enduring hope for serenity and peace that we all carry for those who have left us.
Though Tom Robinson's earthly journey has ended, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he find eternal peace and rest, forever remembered and deeply missed.
