Tom Peake
November 13, 1955 — May 29, 2026
Tom Peake, born on November 13, 1955, in the welcoming town of Wichita, embarked on his final journey on May 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He transitioned from this world in the comfort of his family’s love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
Tom was the beloved son of Ralph and Doris Peake, whose nurturing spirits shaped him into the compassionate and steadfast man he became. He was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Doris McKinney, his devoted father, Ralph Peake, and his dear brothers, Richard and Norman Peake. Their memories lived on in Tom, reflected in his laughter and gentle demeanor.
Throughout his life, Tom was a beacon of resilience and warmth, touching the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His journey through life was marked by both his profound love for family and a selfless dedication to the community.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Megan Amphlept, who was not only his pride and joy but also his partner in countless adventures. Megan will forever carry forward his legacy, instilling in her children the values that Tom held dear. His three adored grandchildren, Evelan, Elias, and Ophelia, were the lights of his life, each visit infused with stories, laughter, and the gentle wisdom only a grandfather could provide.
Tom also leaves behind his supportive brothers, Gordon and Bill Peake, whose bonds of brotherhood remained unbroken through the years. Together, they weathered life’s challenges and celebrated its joys, ever grateful for the strength found in family ties.
Throughout his life, Tom was known for his gentle humor and the comforting presence he offered to all. His friends and family often remarked on his ability to find silver linings in the darkest of clouds, a trait that endeared him to many.
In his professional life, Tom was a man of integrity and dedication, respected by colleagues and cherished for his unwavering principles and work ethic. Yet, it was his personal interactions—whether a kind word to a neighbor or a helping hand extended to a friend—that truly defined his character.
Tom’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, yet his spirit remains a guiding light, reminding us all to live with purpose, love unconditionally, and cherish every moment.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date, where stories will be shared, and his memory honored. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a cancer research foundation, in hopes of sparing others the heartache of losing a loved one too soon.
As we bid farewell to Tom, let us remember him not in sorrow, but with the joy and gratitude for having had him in our lives. His journey may have ended, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
