In Loving Memory

Todd Michael Goit
October 9, 1962 — April 15, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Todd Michael Goit, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Todd passed away peacefully at his home in Norman, Oklahoma, on April 15, 2026, at the age of 63, with his wife by his side holding his hand. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
Todd was born on October 9, 1962, in Lynwood, California, to William Francis Goit and Mary Jane Lord. From the very beginning, Todd displayed a free spirit and a work ethic that would come to define his life's journey. Though he left formal education after the eighth grade at Noble Jr. High, Todd embarked on a life enriched by hands-on experiences, acquiring wisdom through the school of this wonderful world called Life.
On a sweltering Oklahoma day June 21, 1986, Todd married the love of his life, Debra Lynne Goit. Their love was a testament to devotion and partnership, and together they built a beautiful life, centered around their daughters, Nickole and Taylor, who were Todd's pride and joy. The arrival of his grandson, Raiden, added another layer of happiness, becoming Todd's cherished sidekick.
Todd was a man of simple pleasures and profound talents. He found solace and joy in nature, whether it was fishing for Saugyeye at Lake Thunderbird, hunting for morel mushrooms, or tending to his quail, chickens, and garden. A true craftsman at heart, Todd's meticulous attention to detail was evident in every project he undertook, from framing houses to crafting cabinets and countertops with love and precision; many times he was his own worst critic.
His career in construction spanned several decades, culminating in his work with Theisen Interiors until his retirement in 2019. Retirement allowed Todd the freedom to pursue his passions, nurturing his chickens, quail and hummingbirds, and making continual improvements to his home and garden.
Todd's personality was as vibrant as his spirit. Known for his strong opinions and readiness to prove you wrong in the most loving way, he was also deeply compassionate and loving. His love and devotion for NASCAR, OU college football and the NFL football, with the Chiefs being his favorite, and the thrill of live races shared with family and friends were among his happiest moments. The lake or his hunting spot was also his refuge wheither it was fishing, camping or just hanging with family and friends he felt at peace whenever he was in nature or arm chair quarterbacking in the living room.
Todd is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Debra, their daughters Nickole Goit and 3 Granddogs Moose, Riley, & Lana of Norman and Taylor Goit, her fiance Sterling Beecroft, and grandson Raiden Clark of Mustang. His loving mother, Mary Jane Lord of Oceanside, CA, Step Mom Donna Gifford Goit of La Quinta, CA, brothers, William & Jenny Goit of San Clemente, CA, Shawn & Jennifer Goit of Oceanside, CA, Danny & Sherri Goit of Wanette, OK, Melvin & Darlene Goit of Hartsville, SC, Nick Goit of Hermiston, OR, Sister Angelique and Victor Ontiveros of La Quinta, CA, Brother-in-laws Mark Lucas & Dennis Evans of Noble, OK, Jeff & Tammy Karth of Oklahoma City, OK, Todd & Lizzy Karth of El Paseo, TX, and Sister-in-law Cheryl Karth of Noble, OK, and a legion of extended family including nieces, nephews, and countless friends, all of whom will miss his presence dearly.
