Tod Harris Colbert

Tod Harris Colbert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 68, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born on December 12, 1957, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, Tod was the cherished son of the late Charles and Rita Colbert. Tod's life was a testament to love, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of his passions. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Shelley Colbert, and his brother Cary Colbert. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Susie Colbert, with whom he shared a remarkable journey that began with their marriage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 19, 1990. Together, they built a life filled with love and happiness. Tod's memory will be cherished by his children, Lauren Colbert, David Fulbright (Bridgit Hansen), and Jill Wagner (Eric), as well as his adored grandchildren, Casey, Sammy, and Milo Fulbright, and Jackson and Alex Wagner. He leaves behind his siblings, Kim Colbert and Michelle Colbert-Junquera (Jose), along with a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who enriched his life. A proud alumnus of Kenyon College, Tod graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. His career was marked by the founding of Weathertight Corporation in 1986, which became one of Wisconsin's top home improvement companies. In a testament to his belief in shared success, Tod converted Weathertight into an employee-owned company (ESOP) and served as its dedicated president until his passing. Beyond his professional achievements, Tod was a man of varied interests and talents. He was an avid photographer with a keen eye for wildlife and nature, earning numerous accolades for his stunning work, including recognition in international competitions. Tod was also passionate about motorcycles, often embarking on extensive cycling trips that fueled his adventurous spirit. Tod's warmth, quick wit, and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His infectious laughter and kind-hearted nature made him a beacon of positivity, and his ethical approach to business earned him respect and admiration. A devoted member of the Waukesha Camera Club, Tod's artistic pursuits were a reflection of his zest for life. A memorial service celebrating Tod's remarkable life will be held on August 18, 2026, at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in the Event Building at Whitnall Park, located at 9400 Boerner Drive, Hales Corners, WI. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Tod are invited to join in remembering and honoring this extraordinary man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Blood Cancer United, reflecting Tod's enduring spirit and commitment to helping others even beyond his lifetime.
