February 13, 1965 — June 28, 2026

It is with profound sadness and an outpouring of love that we announce the passing of Tina Marie Asaro-Tumlin, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Tina peacefully left this world on June 28, 2026, at the age of 61, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family and best friend in her cherished home. Born on February 13, 1965, in Flint, Michigan, Tina was a beacon of light, laughter, and love. She was the cherished daughter of the late Anthony P. Asaro and Mary Lee Teeple Henderson, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms in heaven. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pharris Scott Tumlin, whose memory she held close to her heart. Tina was the devoted mother of John (Rachel) and Mary (Stephen), whose lives she filled with endless joy, wisdom, and a sense of adventure. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Kyler, Evan, Diesel, Magnolia, Easton, Jessalynn, Isabella, and Audrey, who will forever remember the warmth of her hugs, the joy in her laughter, and the magic of her tea pot trick. Tina's siblings, Jill (Bob), Tony (Darlene), Kurt (Nancy), Darlene (Paul), and Mona (Kevin), shared a bond of love and camaraderie with her that was unbreakable. She was the loving aunt to nieces Leigh Anna (Shawn), Natasha (John), Morgan (Zach), and nephew Daniel, who all cherished her silly humor, her unwavering support, and her guiding light. A proud and active member of Stilettos on Steel, Tina found a sisterhood among her fellow bikers, sharing countless rides that brought her immense joy and freedom. Her love for riding motorcycles was equaled only by her love for spending time with her family, whether it was playing games, snuggling up for a good book or movie, or simply being present in the moment. Tina's home was a sanctuary of laughter and love, where everyone felt welcome and cherished. Her best friend, Jennifer Anspaugh, was by her side through thick and thin, sharing a lifetime of memories and a friendship that knew no bounds. Tina's family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of Community East Hospital and the Hospice Nurses who provided exceptional care and comfort to Tina and her family during their time of need. Their kindness and dedication will always be remembered. As we celebrate Tina's life, we hold onto the memories of her warm smile, her caring heart, and the silly humor that endeared her to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of Tina's life will be held in her honor, where stories will be shared, laughter will echo, and her spirit will be celebrated. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Tina’s memory to a charity of one’s choice, continuing her legacy of giving and caring for others. Rest in peace, dear Tina. You will forever be in our hearts, guiding us with your love and light.
