June 20, 1963 — April 25, 2026

It is with profound sadness and gentle hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Timothy "Tim" Allen Ritchey, who departed this world on April 25, 2026, at the age of 62. Tim passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, fulfilling his final wish of overlooking the mountain sunset, surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren. Born June 20, 1963, in Jefferson City, Missouri, Tim was the cherished son of Martin Leslie Ritchey and Erna Jean "Farran" Ritchey. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, his paternal and maternal grandparents, his son Jessie Catlow, sister Juli Ritchey, brother-in-law Cletus Lutz, niece Melissa Hendricks, and nephew Mike Ecton. Tim's legacy lives on through his devoted family, who will continue to honor his memory. He is survived by his children, Christina Catlow and her husband Darren Spector, Dawn Catlow, Katie Catlow, Theresa Catlow, Eric Bayless and his partner Jennifer Shores, and Austin Ritchey, along with his nine cherished grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters Debbie Brusherd, Norma Lutz, Cheryl Mathieson, and Diane Nilges, his brother Ronald Ritchey, and lifelong friend Kim Smith, whom he considered a brother. Tim's presence will also be deeply missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, and not to forget his beloved cat, Elvis. Tim's journey of life was marked by education and hard work. A graduate of Cole RV High School in Eugene, Missouri, Tim furthered his education at Linn Tech. His career path was as diverse as it was fulfilling. From his early work at Capital 8 Theaters and Bridge Drive Inn to his carpentry endeavors, Tim's hands built dreams. His move to Washington state brought him into the world of software representation, and he eventually founded the American Drafting Company, where he thrived as a cabinet designer until his illness took precedence. A man of faith and action, Tim was an active member of his church, where his volunteer work was nothing short of remarkable. Whether building baptismal basins or slot car tracks for the children, his contributions left a lasting impact. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Tim always had a dad joke ready to lighten the mood, coupled with a kind word to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving an enduring legacy of compassion. Tim's interests were as vibrant as his spirit. An enthusiast for electric vehicles, he was in the process of building his dream farm and Air BNB, aptly named "TIMBUCK2." His vision was to create a haven for family and friends to find peace and serenity in the countryside. Tim's love for cryptocurrency was rivaled only by his love for spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. A celebration of Tim's life will be held on what would have been his 63rd birthday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Hickory Hill Church, located at 12729 United Road, Eugene, MO, 65302. In honoring Tim's memory, let us gather to share stories, laughter, and the warmth of his enduring spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Tim's name, as he was always generous in supporting those in need. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the beautiful memories Tim leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may we carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
