In Loving Memory

Timothy Lee Cotton
October 26, 1957 — July 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Timothy Lee Cotton, who departed this world peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on October 26, 1957, in Great Bend, Kansas, Tim was a man whose spirit and kindness touched everyone he met. He lived a life full of laughter, love, and adventure.
Tim was the cherished son of the late Walton and Rayneda Cotton and is predeceased by his brother, Mark Cotton. He is survived by his beloved children, daughter Leah Cotton, and son Clay Cotton, alongside his wife Abbie Cotton and their son, Hudson Cotton, who brought immense joy to Tim’s life. His siblings, Candace McCoy, Carol Cotton, Dink Cotton, and Andrew Cotton, along with many extended family members and dear friends, also survive him.
A graduate of Marble Falls High School in 1976, Tim pursued higher education at Southwest Texas State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1980. His professional journey began as a loan officer for several hill country banks, where he was known for his dedication and professionalism. Later, driven by a deep desire to serve others, Tim returned to college to earn a degree in Nursing Home Administration, a role he fulfilled with compassion and empathy.
Tim loved Lake Buchanan, where he found peace and happiness surrounded by the beauty of nature. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. His love for travel took him to new places, where he created many special memories with family and friends.
Known for his quick wit and delightful sarcasm, Tim had a remarkable ability to brighten the lives of those around him. His kindness and humor were gifts he shared freely, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
As we celebrate Tim's life, our family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to those who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your compassion has been a comforting embrace, and we are deeply thankful for every act of kindness.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
