Timothy John O'Neill

January 1, 1964 — March 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy John O'Neill, a cherished father, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed from this world on March 26, 2026, at the age of 62. Timothy was born on January 1, 1964, in Meridian, Idaho, to the late John Eugene O'Neill and Ann Jean Harrity, who predeceased him but whose love and values he carried forward throughout his life. Timothy spent his childhood in Meridian, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for the great outdoors and a spirited love of sports, which would become a central part of his life. Following his graduation from high school, Timothy answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Air Force on May 30, 1984. He served honorably until March 28, 1989, garnering the respect and admiration of his fellow servicemen and women. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he cherished deeply. Upon completing his military service, Timothy embarked on a remarkable 31-year career with Applied Materials. His work took him from Texas to Utah, then Connecticut, and finally back to the landscapes of Idaho that he always held dear. Throughout his career, Timothy was known for his unwavering work ethic, integrity, and the genuine kindness he extended to colleagues and clients alike. Timothy's life was rich with interests and passions. An avid sports enthusiast, he found joy and exhilaration in rollerblading, mountain biking, and most passionately, in the thrilling game of hockey. He was a beloved fixture in local sports communities, where his enthusiasm was infectious and his competitive spirit inspiring. A proud bearer of his Irish heritage, Timothy was an active member of the Irish American Society. He treasured his trips to Ireland, where he felt a profound connection to the land of his ancestors. These travels were a source of great joy and a testament to his love for family and tradition. Timothy's legacy lives on through his beloved children, Connor Timothy O'Neill and Grace Kelly O'Neill, who were his pride and joy. He instilled in them the same values of love, perseverance, and kindness that he carried throughout his life. He is also survived by his siblings, John Patrick O'Neill and Ellen Cecelia O'Neill, and his cherished nephew, Aidan John Landig, all of whom were blessed by his warmth and wisdom. As we remember Timothy, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by service, dedication, and an unyielding love for family and friends. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the beautiful memories and lasting impact he leaves behind. A service to honor and celebrate Timothy's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Timothy's memory to the Irish American Society or a charity of your choice that supports veterans and their families. May Timothy rest in eternal peace, reunited with his parents, and forever remembered in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
