Timothy James Boswell

December 7, 1959 — April 26, 2026

Timothy James Boswell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and friend, peacefully departed this world on April 26, 2026, at the age of 66, after a courageous battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Born on December 7, 1959, in Austin, Texas, Tim was the cherished son of Clarence Wilbon Boswell and Thelma Bernice Boswell, who instilled in him the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. Tim was a man of many passions and talents. A proud graduate of the University of Texas, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government and History in 1999. His career was as diverse as it was impactful, beginning with two decades of dedicated service as a paramedic for Gold Cross and Austin EMS. His commitment to helping others was unwavering, and he carried this dedication into his subsequent roles as a property manager and real estate professional. Ultimately, Tim found his true calling in education, becoming a certified teacher and imparting his love for history to students at Tippit Middle School for 13 enriching years. Tim found the love of his life in college, where a decade-long friendship with Tamara eventually blossomed into a lifelong romance. They were wed on a crisp January day in 1988. Their union was a testament to the power of love and partnership, marked by 38 years of unwavering support, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they raised two remarkable daughters, Michaela and Abigail, who were the pride and joy of his life. Tim also embraced Michaela’s husband, Tim Foelker, as family from the very beginning of their relationship, affectionately referring to him as “mijo” — a reflection of the deep love and acceptance he extended so naturally to those closest to him. Tim’s legacy of love and guidance will undoubtedly continue through his granddaughter, Lila James, who was lovingly named in his honor and born just four months before his passing. Tim was a man with a zest for life and a heart full of enthusiasm for his hobbies. His love for trains was evident through his membership in the AustNtrak train club from the mid-1980s through the 2000s and, later in life, with The Southwestern Live Steamers and the Austin & Texas Central Railroad, where he delighted in working with 7½-inch gauge models. Whether immersed in a good book, tending to his yard, or working out at the gym with his wife, Tim approached each interest with the same vigor and curiosity that defined his character. Known for his quick wit and sarcastic humor, Tim had an unparalleled ability to engage in conversations on nearly any topic. His warmth and charisma left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and his supportive nature made him a cherished presence in the lives of his family and friends. As a father, he was ever-present, offering encouragement and radiating pride in his daughters' accomplishments. As a husband, he stood as a pillar of love and support, setting a gold standard for marriage with Tamara and modeling unconditional love. The life of Timothy James Boswell will be celebrated on May 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home, located at 5600 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78633. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring a life well-lived, a heart full of love, and a spirit that will be dearly missed but fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of choice in memory of Tim, as a way to continue his legacy of helping others.
