It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Timothy J. Butler, who died peacefully at his home on April 17, 2026, at the age of 31. Timothy was born on November 9, 1994, in Butler, Pennsylvania, to his loving parents Timothy P. Butler and the late Rose Marie Genco. His life, though short, was filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to those he held dear.

His career path led him to the 323 Heavy Highway Laborers Union, alongside roles as a sales and marketing associate. His thirst for knowledge was undiminished, as he planned to return to Butler County Community College in the summer of 2026 to continue his educational journey.
Timothy’s love for baseball extended beyond his own achievements. He was an All-Star player, contributing to bringing a championship to Butler City for the first time since the 1980s. In 2015, he generously volunteered as a coach for Butler City Baseball and went on to play semi-professional baseball in a summer league, leaving a lasting impact on the community that he so dearly loved. He remained an active alumnus of Slippery Rock Area High School, cherished by his peers for his unwavering spirit and dedication.
Timothy's life was not defined solely by his accomplishments. His true legacy lies in the warmth, humor, and compassion he offered freely to everyone he met. With a contagious smile and a laugh that could light up any room, he was a devoted and selfless individual who found immense joy in supporting his friends and family. He lived life with a playful spirit, embracing silliness and spreading positivity wherever he went. Timothy had a deep love for Pittsburgh sports, especially as a dedicated Steelers fan, attending games with enthusiasm and pride.
His aspirations to explore the world and experience life to the fullest were evident in his adventurous spirit. In every aspect of his life, Timothy embodied kindness, warmth, and an unwavering willingness to support those around him. His legacy of love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
In honoring Timothy's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held.
