Timothy Charles Lake

March 12, 1945 — August 24, 2026

Timothy Charles Lake, a man of great honor and devotion, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, after a lingering illness. Born on March 12, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, Timothy was a beacon of strength and compassion throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Timothy was the cherished son of the late Herman Taft Lake and M. Agnes Dove Lake. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Glen Rosalee Lake, with whom he shared a life of partnership and love since their marriage on March 26, 1969. Timothy also faced the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, Shelley Angel Lake, sister Elvira Meyer, and brothers William, Daniel, and Stanley Lake. He is survived by his devoted children: Tammy Lake, Timothy D. Lake, John Lake, and Wayne Lake. Timothy found immense joy in his role as a grandfather, with his cherished granddaughter, Tabitha Lake, holding a special place in his heart. A proud veteran, Timothy dedicated two years of service to his country in the US Army, serving with the 2nd Battalion 1st Artillery during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service extended beyond the military, as he later became a respected heavy equipment operator, known for his work ethic and skill. Timothy's life was enriched by his membership in Lodge #49 as a Master Mason for over 25 years, and as a member of the Aldora Chapter #262, Order Of The Eastern Star, which he memorably joined with his daughter, Tammy. His dedication to these organizations reflected his values of camaraderie, service, and integrity. An avid hunter and fisherman, Timothy found solace and joy in nature, often escaping to the outdoors where he could connect with the world around him. He was a lifelong learner, possessing an insatiable curiosity and a desire to absorb knowledge on a wide range of subjects. Timothy will be remembered for his outspoken nature, unwavering honor, and the loyalty he showed to friends and family. He spent his life striving to protect and provide for those he loved, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. A service to celebrate Timothy's life will be held on September 10, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, located at 119 E Main St, Fairborn, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man who lived a life of purpose and love.
