Tim Mcquigg

January 13, 1961 — June 6, 2026

Tim McQuigg, a cherished father, husband, brother, and friend to many, passed away on June 6, 2026, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, after bravely battling Alzheimer's. Born on January 13, 1961, to Marvin and Patricia (Umbaugh) McQuigg, Tim's life was a testament to kindness, humor, and resilience. Tim spent his formative years in Fredericktown, Ohio, where he graduated from Fredericktown High School. His educational journey was colorful and diverse, from attending Harley Davidson Joint Vocational School for welding to what he often called the "school of hard knocks." His broad skill set and tireless work ethic saw him operate his own Harley Davidson shop, Mount Vernon Custom Cycle, from 1986 to 1996, and later, he lent his expertise to companies like Flexible, TRW, Sanho, and Ariel for over four decades. Tim was a man who wore many hats and never shied away from hard work, be it bricklaying, farmwork, or construction alongside his father for Marvin McQuigg Builders. Tim's life was rich in love and family. He married his beloved Regina (Hudson) on July 2, 1983, and together they built a life full of laughter and memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, his children, Benjamin (Becky), Zachary, and Jessica (Nick Maloney), and his cherished granddaughter, Adalynn, who brought immense joy to his life. His siblings, Michele, Connie (James) Philips, Tricia (Paul) Brown, and Michael (Jenny) McQuigg, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will hold him forever in their hearts. An active member of the community, Tim was a boy scout in his youth and later became a treasurer for ABATE of Ohio. His love for storytelling found a unique outlet in writing for Easy Rider magazine, often spinning tales that brought laughter and delight. His stories, sometimes about toe jam, were just one of the many ways Tim shared his humor and perspective with the world. Tim's varied interests painted a picture of a man who embraced life fully. He loved motorcycles, ice cream, boating, fishing, and camping. A natural entertainer, Tim was known for his spirited performances at the Fredericktown Tomato Show lip syncs, with his portrayal of 'Men in Tights' remaining a crowd favorite. His penchant for humor was matched by his caring nature. He was always ready to lend a hand, often putting others' needs before his own, except perhaps when executing a playful prank—like the infamous incident involving his wife's brother and a grass fire. A tender-hearted outdoorsman, Tim took pride in maintaining his home and was an avid mushroom hunter and metalworker. His quick wit and sarcastic humor were hallmarks of his personality, endearing him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tim was predeceased by his parents, grandparents Arthur D. and Burdell (Neighbarger) McQuigg, Frederick L. and Bertha M. (Smith) Umbaugh, several aunts and uncles, and his nephew, Travis Dennison. While his absence leaves a profound void, the legacy of love, laughter, and kindness he leaves behind will continue to inspire. In honoring Tim's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. His family kindly requests that those who wish to remember Tim do so by celebrating his life with the same joy and humor that he brought into the world. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to organizations supporting Alzheimer's research, in the hope that future generations may find a cure for this devastating disease. Tim McQuigg's memory will forever be a beacon of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love, lighting the way for those who knew him and loved him dearly.
