Tiffany Kennedy

August 7, 1910 — October 9, 2007

Tiffany Kennedy, a remarkable woman who witnessed nearly a century of history and whose life was a testament to resilience, love, and grace, passed away peacefully of old age on October 9, 2007, at the age of 97. Born on August 7, 1910, in the warm and welcoming town of Plains, Georgia, Tiffany lived a life filled with extraordinary experiences and cherished connections. Tiffany was the beloved daughter of Kamilla and William Kurro, who instilled in her the virtues of kindness and strength. Her formative years were spent in Plains, where she attended Poppy Plains Elementary. She later graduated from Derry Bush High School, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to family and service. Though the details of her college education remain unknown, Tiffany's wisdom and intellect were evident to all who knew her. In 1951, Tiffany married John F. Kennedy, with whom she shared a vibrant, albeit brief, partnership until 1958. Their union was marked by deep affection and mutual respect. The loss of John in 1963, due to assassination, was a profound moment in Tiffany's life, yet she faced it with unfaltering dignity. Tiffany was predeceased by her parents, Kamilla in 1971 and William in 1966, both of whom lived long, fulfilling lives. Her cousin, George Kurro, with whom she shared a close bond, succumbed to cancer in 1953. These losses were deeply felt by Tiffany, yet she remained a pillar of strength for her family. She is survived by her devoted son, Johnny Kennedy, who carries forward her legacy of compassion and integrity. Tiffany shared a warm and supportive relationship with Betty Kennedy, John's last wife, who was a cherished member of the family circle. Her connection with George W. Bush, described as "awesome," is a testament to her ability to forge meaningful relationships. George W. Bush, along with his father, George H. W. Bush, admired Tiffany greatly and have expressed their heartfelt condolences, honoring her legacy. Tiffany's family remembers her as a nurturing and generous spirit. "Tiffany was so nice, and it was sad to see our beloved Tiffany pass," they shared, capturing the essence of a woman who touched countless lives with her kindness. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Tiffany's life and legacy, attended by close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kennedy Heart to Heart Organization, a charity close to Tiffany's heart, which continues to make a difference in many lives. As we bid farewell to Tiffany Kennedy, we celebrate a life well-lived, one marked by love, resilience, and a profound sense of purpose. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
