It is with profound sadness and tender hearts that we announce the passing of Tiffany Grace Griffin, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Tiffany left this world on April 2, 2026, at the Adventist Health Care Center in Fort Washington, Maryland, at the age of 40. She was born on October 18, 1985, at the Womack Army Medical Center, a precious gift to her parents, Robert L. Griffin, Sr. and Theressea L. Griffin.
Tiffany's life was a tapestry of love, humor, and light. From an early age, she demonstrated a unique spark, one that would lead her to become an outspoken, humorous, and witty individual. Her generous spirit and deep connection with nature were evident to all who knew her. Tiffany's life philosophy was epitomized in her favorite saying, "TAKE IT TO THE ALTAR," a mantra that urged those around her to seek solace and strength through prayer.
Educated in the Prince William County Public Schools, Tiffany later obtained her GED, showcasing her determination and resilience. She was a woman of many passions, including an enduring love for her feline companion, Sailor. An avid cat lover, Tiffany found joy and comfort in Sailor's presence. Her creative spirit shone through her talents in drawing and her love for reading. She embraced life with a belief in lightness over darkness, always choosing to see the brightness in every situation.
She is survived by a loving family who will forever hold her memory close. Her brother, Robert L. Griffin, Jr., and his wife Debreka, of North Carolina; her brother, Derick T. Griffin of South Carolina; and her sister, Devin La'Shay Griffin of Virginia. Her legacy continues in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: Makayla Griffin, Da'Shaun Griffin, Aniya Brown, Nasir Griffin, Egypt Griffin, Ashanti Griffin, Mariah Griffin of North Carolina, Jada Griffin of Virginia, Giana James of Florida, Julian Griffin of West Virginia, and Chanel Grace Griffin of Texas.
Tiffany is also remembered by her grandparents, Ernest and Grace Griffith of West Virginia, and Christine A. Wright, alongside the late Rev. Clarence Wright and the late Ernest Griffin, Sr. She leaves behind her beloved aunts and uncles: Shelia Hogan and her husband Billy of West Virginia, Ernest Griffith, Jr. of Virginia, Diane Allen of Virginia, Antoinette Syrkes of Virginia, and Michael Griffin of Alaska. Her special cousins, LaTisha, Laurisa Mason, and Ernest Griffith III, held a special place in her heart. Tiffany shared a particularly close bond with her Uncle Ernest Griffith, Jr. of Virginia.
In her personal life, Tiffany shared a deep friendship with Robert Jordan Rodriguez of Maryland, who was a source of support and companionship.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tiffany's life on April 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, located at 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. In this time of mourning, the Griffin family extends their heartfelt appreciation for the comforting messages, prayers, and many expressions of kindness and concern offered to them during this difficult time.
In the spirit of Psalm 23, we find comfort knowing that Tiffany now lies in green pastures and walks beside still waters, her soul restored and embraced by eternal love. Her memory will forever dwell in the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
Rest in peace, dear Tiffany. May your light shine brightly in the heavens, as it did on earth.
