Tianliang Chen, a cherished member of the community and beloved patriarch, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on September 23, 1936, in the vibrant town of Chaozhou, Guangdong, Tianliang was a beacon of wisdom, love, and resilience. Throughout his long and fruitful life, Tianliang embodied the virtues of kindness, diligence, and humility. His journey from Chaozhou was marked by determination and an unwavering commitment to family. He was a devoted husband to his surviving spouse, Ruijiao Su, with whom he shared a deep and enduring partnership. Together, they built a loving family that was the center of Tianliang's world. Tianliang was predeceased by his dear daughters, whose memories he kept close to his heart. He is survived by his children, Chunyan Chen, Yongdong Chen, and Liying Chen, each of whom carries forward his legacy of integrity and compassion. His cherished granddaughter, Leran Cao, was a source of immense joy and pride, and he treasured every moment spent with her. Tianliang's life was a testament to his profound love for his family and his unwavering dedication to their well-being. His gentle spirit and wise counsel will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A service to celebrate Tianliang's remarkable life will be held on August 18, 2026, at The Teochew Funeral Parlour located at 10 Fengdong Rd, Xiangqiao District, Chaozhou, Guangdong, 510000. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the time shared with this extraordinary man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tianliang's memory to the Alzheimer's Research Association, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for the disease that affects so many families. The association is based in Saint Clair Shores, MI, USA. Tianliang Chen's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community. His spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind, and his memory will be forever cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
