Tia Kindred-Arnold

January 31, 1968 — May 10, 2026

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Tia Kindred-Arnold, a cherished soul who left this world on May 10, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on January 31, 1968, in the close-knit community of Gary, Indiana, Tia brought joy, laughter, and warmth to all who knew her. Tia was the beloved daughter of the late John A. Kindred and Mae Frances Kindred, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life. Though they have preceded her in death, Tia held them close in her heart, forever honoring their memory. A proud graduate of West Side High School, Class of 1987, Tia was known for her vibrant spirit and infectious sense of humor. Her laughter was a balm to the soul, and she possessed an uncanny ability to lift the spirits of those around her with a well-timed joke or a warm smile. Tia shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Kent Arnold. Together, they built a loving home that was often filled with the aroma of Tia's delicious cooking—a passion she delighted in sharing with her family and friends. Kent stood by her side as her steadfast partner, and their relationship was a testament to the enduring power of love. She is survived by her son, Desmund Williams, who was her pride and joy, and by her two precious grandchildren, including Desmund Williams Jr., who brought an extra sparkle to her eyes. Tia's family was her world, and she relished every moment spent in their company. Her siblings, Veronica McCarter, Waltri McCarter, Brian Elkins, and Donna Kindred, along with a host of nieces and nephews, will forever remember Tia's loving nature and her ability to make every family gathering a special occasion. Her nephew, Dewayne Parker, and niece, Tyree Albert, were particularly dear to her heart. Tia's circle of love extended beyond family. She was blessed with friendships that lasted a lifetime, including those with her dear friends Leslie Darvae Fondren and Kimberly Edwards. These bonds were a testament to Tia's generous spirit and genuine heart. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Tia's life will be held on May 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Guy and Allen Funeral Home. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join them in remembering the woman who brought so much light into the world. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in knowing that Tia's legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her spirit, like a guiding star, will continue to inspire us to embrace life with joy and to cherish the moments that truly matter. May Tia Kindred-Arnold rest in peace, her laughter echoing eternally in the heavens above.
