It is with both heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved Thomika Boyer, who left this world on April 30, 2026, at the age of 34. Born on May 5, 1991, in the close-knit community of Millington, Maryland, Thomika brought joy and laughter to everyone she encountered. Thomika was the beloved daughter of Charlene McNeal and Thomas Boyer. Her life, though far too brief, was filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit that touched all who knew her. She was predeceased by her cherished grandmother Florence Wright, her great-grandmother Verma Sizemore, her brother Thomas Boyer III, her grandfather Thomas Boyer Sr, and her grandmother Liza Perry. Her legacy continues through her devoted spouse Chris Evans and her beloved children, Amiya Needam, Caleb Evans, and Isaiah Evans, who were the light of her life. Thomika’s early years were marked by her vibrant personality and her passion for life. She graduated a year early from Georgetown High School, a testament to her determination and love for learning. She pursued further education at Del Tech, setting the foundation for a fulfilling career in the medical field. Thomika dedicated herself to her long-term career at Beebe Medical Center, where she served as a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant and a skilled medical administrative assistant. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her as a beacon of kindness and competence. Outside of her career, Thomika's life was enriched by her love for family gatherings and the joy she found in being surrounded by her loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her children and was always ready to share a good laugh or a heartfelt story. Her infectious laughter, often causing her sides to hurt, was a hallmark of her personality, as was her knack for cracking a good joke and reminiscing about the past. Thomika was always making plans to travel and experience the world, her adventurous spirit leading the way. In her leisure time, Thomika enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was a lively party, a cozy get-together, or the satisfaction of making money to provide for her family. Her best cousin, Dayseana McNeal, and her three great friends, Shanae, Nina, and Bianca from Georgetown, Delaware, will forever treasure the countless memories they created together. She also leaves behind 24 cousins who were all a cherished part of her extended family. A service to celebrate Thomika’s life will be held on May 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Bethel A.M.E. Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National MS Association, a cause close to Thomika’s heart. The Boyer and Evans families would like to express their profound gratitude to the Plaston Family Funeral Services for their compassionate and dedicated support during this difficult time. Our hearts are full of appreciation for your help and kindness. Thomika's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, her laughter echoing in the heavens above, forever cherished and never forgotten.
