Thomas Wayne Gibson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Wayne Gibson, born on January 13, 1964, in Gladewater, Texas. On August 11, 2026, Thomas left this world, comforted by the presence of his beloved dog, Booga Bear, at his side. Thomas was the cherished son of the late Ora Pearl-Lee Dye and Tommy Wayne Knight. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christy Gibson, his son, Jimmy Ray Gibson, and his brother, Loyd Adcock. Despite the losses he endured, Thomas's spirit remained resilient. Thomas was a proud father to his daughter, Jordan Gibson, and sons, Jonathan & Jimmy Gibson. He was a beloved brother to his siblings: Jimmy, Phillip, Richard, Kevin, Carroll, Larry, Phyllis, Ladonna, and Joann. On November 20, 1999, Thomas married Christy Gibson, and together they welcomed their daughter, Jordan Paige, on December 29, 1998. Tragically, Christy passed away on August 18, 2002. In 2012, Thomas found love again with Lisa Henry, who brought warmth and joy back into his life. She had a daughter, Taylor Gonzalez. Thomas adored her & always spoke highly of her because of her strength. Thomas was a man of many talents, skilled in various trades from construction to flooring. However, his true passion was working on a ranch, where he thrived in the ever-changing demands and responsibilities that life on a ranch entailed. Thomas's love for the land and his work was evident in the dedication and enthusiasm he brought to every task. As we remember Thomas, we celebrate a life filled with love, resilience, and passion. His legacy lives on through his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know him. Thomas will be dearly missed, but his spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
