August 3, 1935 — October 24, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas “Tommy” Davis Lee, Jr., a beloved soul who left us on October 24, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on August 3, 1935, in Elkins, West Virginia, Tommy was the son of Tom and Sue Lee, who predeceased him. He is survived by his sister, Grace Lee Jordan, who resides in Topeka, Kansas. Tommy's journey through life was enriched by his unique and gentle spirit. He enjoyed the melodies of Christmas music, which he cherished all year round. He had a remarkable talent and patience for assembling puzzles, often tackling those with 500 to 1000 pieces. His dedication to this hobby demonstrated his perseverance and love for detail. This attention to detail was also displayed in his many textile weavings, particularly placemats, which earned him awards at the State Fair. Equally important to Tommy was time spent swimming since it gave him a feeling of weightlessness. One of Tommy's most distinguished honors was being recognized as the oldest resident at Stewart Home and School in Frankfort, Kentucky. This community became his extended family, where he was embraced and cared for with love and respect. Stewart Home and School was not just a home for Tommy but a haven that nurtured his spirit and provided him with endless opportunities for joy and fulfillment. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Stewart Home and School for their unwavering dedication and support throughout Tommy’s life. Their kindness and compassion were a comfort to Tommy and his family, and their efforts will always be remembered with deep appreciation. In keeping with Tommy’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life. The family appreciates the love and support from friends and the community during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Tommy’s name be made to Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Giving Portal for Friends of Stewart Home and School at https://tinyurl.com/StewartHS There is also a QR code located below with information about donating by check. Tommy will be remembered as a gentle soul who brought light and warmth to those around him. His legacy of kindness and joy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
