In Loving Memory

Thomas smith
July 14, 1974 — March 12, 2026
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Thomas Smith, who departed this life on March 12, 2026, at the age of 51 after a courageous battle with sickle cell disease. Born on July 14, 1974, in the vibrant heart of New York, Thomas was a beacon of strength and kindness whose life touched many.
Thomas was the cherished son of Jackelynn Smith and the late Thomas Smith, whose legacy he carried forward with dignity and grace. A dedicated family man, Thomas leaves behind his devoted wife of 25 years, Miranda Smith. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, filled with shared dreams and unwavering support.
Together, Thomas and Miranda raised two wonderful daughters, Marylin and Michelle, who were the light of his life. He took great pride in their accomplishments and relished in their happiness. As a father, Thomas was nurturing, wise, and always present—a guiding force and a gentle hand.
Thomas was also a cherished brother to Joseph, Kevin, and Michael. Their bond was one of deep affection and mutual respect, built on a foundation of shared memories and unbreakable ties. His nieces, Tracy, Nikia, Mikayla, and Madison, and nephews, Kion, Keyshawn, Jaeden, and Nahir, will forever remember him as an inspiring uncle whose laughter filled the room and whose stories enthralled them.
Though his life was cut short, Thomas's legacy continues through his two grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to his days. While he did not live to see great-grandchildren, his spirit and lessons will undoubtedly be passed down through the generations.
Thomas received his education with a steadfast dedication, culminating in his graduation—a milestone that set him on a path to a fruitful career and a life of fulfillment. An individual of boundless curiosity and integrity, he was admired by colleagues and friends alike.
A service to honor Thomas's life will be held on March 20, 2026, at Unity Chapels, located at 2352 Frederick Douglass Blvd, New York, NY 10027. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Thomas are invited to come together to celebrate his life and to share in the memories of a man who gave so much of himself to others.
In this time of mourning, we find comfort in the indelible mark Thomas left on our hearts—a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering kindness. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Rest in peace, Thomas. Your journey was one of courage and your presence was a gift to us all.
