Born on September 24, 1954, in the vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee, Thomas was the beloved son of Thomas Ruffin Sr and Lilly Ruffin, who preceded him in death. His life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. Thomas spent his formative years in Memphis, eventually graduating high school before embarking on a successful career. He dedicated his professional life to the General Motors Plant in Janesville, Wisconsin, where he worked as a manager. His commitment and leadership left a lasting impact on both colleagues and the community. Thomas was a man of many passions. He delighted in the simple joys of life, such as playing card games like Skip-Bo, Spades, and Euchre. Football held a special place in his heart, with the Detroit Lions being his team of choice. His true happiness, however, was found in the laughter and energy of his five grandchildren—Spencer, Carson, Maddox, Xane, and Arthur—whom he adored watching play outside. Known for his funny charm and quick, sarcastic wit, Thomas had an infectious laugh that could bring joy to any room. He cherished long, deep conversations and found solace in the power of good music, which he believed could heal the soul. His willingness to help anyone in need was a testament to his kind-hearted nature and the love he had for those around him. Thomas's legacy lives on through his children, Alanya Boyer and Thomas Ruffin III, his cherished grandchildren, and his devoted siblings, Raymond Ruffin and Elmo Ruffin. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who shared Thomas's journey, from friends who stayed up talking late into the night to caregivers who ensured his comfort.
