In Loving Memory of Thomas Nolan Sailors Thomas Nolan Sailors, affectionately known as Tom, departed this world peacefully at his home in Wymore, Nebraska, after a courageous battle with COPD. Born on December 7, 1959, in Fall City, Nebraska, Tom's life was a testament to resilience, love, and an unwavering dedication to his family. Tom was the beloved son of Frank Sailors and Virginia Whalen. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, and his cherished wife, Barbara Anne Sailors, with whom he shared a beautiful life for 37 years. Together, they raised a loving family that includes six children: Tommy Sailors, Rodney Burr, Aaron Burr, Christina Burr, Chuck Burr, and Dennis Burr. Tom's family continued to grow, blessing him with 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of his life. A graduate of Marquette High School, Tom dedicated nearly 35 years of his life to construction, providing steadfastly for his family. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he took immense pride in his ability to support those he loved. Tom was a devoted member of the Wymore Church of Christ, where his faith played a central role in his life. He was a man of many talents, particularly in sports, where his skills were unmatched. He shared his passion for athletics with his children, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with the same fervor he had. Sundays were sacred in Tom's household, as the sounds of NASCAR racing filled the air, a tradition he cherished. His love for fishing, westerns, and music added depth to his vibrant personality. Holidays were magical under Tom's care, especially the Fourth of July, when he would close down the entire block for his legendary fireworks shows. Tom's greatest joy, however, was spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved taking them to the movies and dining out, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts. Known for his radiant spirit, Tom had a profound ability to light up any room he entered. He was a beacon of warmth, embodying kindness and love, with a heart that embraced all who knew him. His gentle yet firm presence was a guiding force, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
