It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Thomas London Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 19, 1948, Thomas left this world on May 17, 2026, at the Memphis VA, surrounded by the immense love of his family. Thomas was the cherished son of Phillip London Sr. and Beatrice London, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted daughter Tamika London, his son Thomas London Jr., and his daughter Dominique Miller, and his son Xavier Miller. Thomas is also remembered with affection by his brother Phillip London Jr., and his sisters Phillis London and Nita London. Thomas's life was richly blessed with the joys of family, including 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who will carry his legacy of love and laughter into the future. A proud veteran, Thomas served two terms in the United States Marine Corps, completing his service with honor in 1974. His dedication to his country was a testament to his strength and his unwavering sense of duty. Professionally, Thomas was a man of many talents. He found fulfillment in his work as a security officer at Wackenhut, but it was in the kitchen where his heart truly thrived. As a chief cook, his passion for cooking touched the lives of many, bringing joy and comfort through the meals he lovingly prepared. Thomas was a man of simple pleasures. He found great joy in fishing, a pastime he lovingly shared with his young daughter, teaching her the art of casting a line. These father-daughter moments were a testament to his nurturing spirit and his ability to find beauty in the everyday. Known for his warm smile and his remarkable ability to lift spirits, Thomas had a unique gift for bringing laughter to those around him, even in their darkest moments. His presence was a beacon of hope and happiness for all who knew him. A service to honor and celebrate the life of Thomas London Sr. will be held on May 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the N J Ford Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to pay their respects and share in the memories of a life well-lived. In a heartfelt message from the family, they express: "I would like to take the time to let my dad know how much I'm going to miss him; he was my ride or die. No matter what, he had my back, and I always kept his. For that, I just want to let him know I really appreciate him. Thank you, Dad, for always being my dad and being right there, no matter what." Thomas London Sr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before him, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
