November 12, 1954 – April 23, 2026 With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Thomas Lloyd Graham, who departed this life on April 23, 2026, in the warm embrace of his family. Born on November 12, 1954, in Whiteville, NC, Thomas was the cherished son of Norman Shipman and Sylvia Graham Shipman. His life was a testament to love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit that left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Thomas was a proud graduate of Acme-Delco High School, Class of 1973, and began his career at DuPont, where he worked diligently until he embraced a well-deserved retirement. Never one to rest on his laurels, Thomas pursued numerous certifications, showcasing his versatile talents in fields ranging from heavy equipment operation to mechanics, carpentry, and long-distance driving with his CDLs. His passion for learning was paralleled only by his love for motorcycles, each one a new adventure waiting to be embraced. Fishing was a lifelong passion for Thomas, and he often found solace at Johnny Mercer’s pier at Wrightsville Beach, NC, where his laughter echoed across the waves. A gifted gardener, he delighted in sharing the bounty of his harvest with family and friends, reflecting his generous spirit and love for nurturing growth. Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Sylvia Graham Shipman, and joined in eternal rest by his loving wife, Gretel Graham, his beloved daughter and namesake, Thomasa Graham, and a host of other treasured family members including Mary Shipman and Jerry Lee Addison. Left to cherish his memory are his surviving daughters, Mable Michelle Graham and Gretina Lanet Swindell, along with his adored granddaughters, Morgan Campbell, Madison Campbell, Kenadie Swindell, and Kelsie Swindell. Thomas is also survived by his brothers, Norman Shipman and Charles Shipman, and his sister, Lisa Shipman. His extended family and countless friends, each touched by his kindness and infectious joy, will dearly miss him. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Thomas had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. He never met a stranger and his kindness and generosity touched the hearts of many. His life was a beacon of love and laughter, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. A celebration of Thomas's life will be held on April 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Greater Bolton COGIC, 150 Blacksmith Rd, Bolton, NC 28423.
