Thomas "Lenny" Suggs
June 1, 1961 – July 1, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas "Lenny" Suggs, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left this world on July 1, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on June 1, 1961, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lenny was the cherished son of Wilmer Suggs and Willie Davis.
Lenny's life was a testament to hard work, resilience, and the joy found in life's simple pleasures. He dedicated many years to the healthcare field, serving as a housekeeping supervisor in various nursing homes around Fort Wayne. His commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family and community.
To those who knew him, Lenny was a beacon of warmth and humor. His ability to bring a smile and laughter to those around him was unparalleled. Lenny had a unique gift for making people feel cherished and valued, a quality that endeared him to many and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
Lenny's passions extended beyond his professional life. He found immense joy in bowling, often spending evenings at the local alley, perfecting his strike. His love for music was equally profound; he fancied himself a mix of Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, and Keith Sweat, much to the delight of his family and friends who were often treated to his impromptu performances.
Lenny leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by his six children: Suemikeo (Wykita) Underwood, Lenny Underwood, Quantrel Adams, Porshia Adams, Tylor Trombley of Arizona, and Kavianna Suggs. His memory will also be treasured by his siblings Nancy (Greg) Gangway, Rita Suggs, Vertise Suggs of Inglewood, California, Janice Tate, and Barbara Wallace of Fort Wayne, Indiana, as well as a host of grandchildren, friends, and extended family.
In the words of his eldest child, Wykita, "Even though you are no longer physically here, your presence is still woven so deeply into my life. I live my life not just for myself but to honor the incredible legacy you left behind."
Lenny was predeceased by his parents, Wilmer Suggs and Willie Davis, but the love he shared continues to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Lenny's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of giving and community support.
Thomas "Lenny" Suggs will forever be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the love he bestowed upon all who had the privilege of crossing his path. May his soul find eternal peace.
