With heavy hearts and profound love, we honor the remarkable life of Thomas Henry Lee, who left this earthly realm on September 4, 2026, at the age of 81, after a courageous battle following a bacterial infection. Born on July 27, 1945, in Hinsdale, Illinois, Thomas was the cherished son of Clyda Mae Holland and Joseph Holland. His mother, Clyda Mae Holland, predeceased him, and he is survived by his devoted father, Joseph Holland. Thomas's life was a testament to dedication, love, and service. A proud alumnus of Marshall High and Lincoln Tech Computer School, he embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a computer programmer, serving with distinction for 40 years. Later, he embraced a new passion and thrived as a real estate agent for 25 years, helping countless families find their homes. A man of deep faith and devotion, Thomas served as a pastor at Light Of The World Church for 35 years, guiding his congregation with wisdom and compassion. His commitment to his community was unwavering, and his presence was a source of light and hope for many. Family was the cornerstone of Thomas's life. He was a beloved father to Thomasina Lee Smith, (John Kennedy Smith) Thomas Henry Lee Jr., Michelle Robinson, Eric Lee, Alicia Lee, and Lacresha Hill, (Marco Shanklin) and a dear brother to Teretha Lee. He took immense joy and pride in his grandchildren, Shanika Smith and Dyrello Hall Jr., and his great-grandchildren, John Williams, Ja'Keis Williams, Ja'Kiya Hall, Jada Hall, Dyrello Hall III, Nasir Legrone, and Javion Hall, whom he adored beyond measure. Thomas was a man who cherished gatherings, be it a family reunion or a friend's birthday party. His presence was a comforting assurance of support and laughter. His love for visiting family and friends was a testament to the deep connections he valued and nurtured throughout his life. A celebration of Thomas's life will take place on September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Riverdale Park District, located at 14322 South Ivanhoe Park. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join in honoring his legacy of love and service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Thomas's spirit of generosity and care for others. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the University Of Chicago Hospital at Hinsdale for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Thomas.
