Obituary for Thomas Henry Hannah Jr. June 7, 1941 - March 17, 2026 It is with heavy hearts and profound reverence that we announce the passing of our beloved Thomas Henry Hannah Jr., fondly known as "Tommy," and "Jr." who peacefully fell asleep in death on March 17, 2026, at the age of 84, after a courageous battle with dementia. Born in the warm embrace of Kosciusko, Mississippi, on June 7, 1941. Tommy was the cherished son of Thomas Henry Hannah Sr. and Lula Hannah Brown, both of whom preceeded him in death, along with his sister, Gloria Hannah, his stepfather, Eugene Brown, brothers-in-law; Elwood Pryor, and his dear sons, Sean Hannah and Juan Hannah. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his wife, Etta Hannah, and his son, Todd (Mia) Hannah (Jackie Ransome), as well as a loving extended family that includes stepchildren Theodore Coleman, Venus Coleman, Jason Brannon, Edward (Lisa) Newbon, and Angie Newbon. Tommy's siblings; Stella Hannah Pryor, Carlton (Regina) Brown, Eugene (Cherylynn) Brown, Diana Brown, Angela (Russell) Grice, and Deziree Brown Thomas, along with his aunts Deziree Wheeler and Clara (Bobby) Wilson, mourn his loss but celebrate his life. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who will remember him fondly. Tommy's journey was marked by a dedication to education and personal growth. He graduated from Austin East High School in Knoxville, TN, and furthered his studies at Knoxville College. His career path was as diverse as his talents; he began as a Golf Caddy, where he developed an enduring love for the game, and ventured into sales with Electrolux and Kirby vacuum cleaners. However, it was in the boxing ring that Tommy truly shone, earning the title of “Golden Glove Middleweight Champion” in Detroit, Michigan. A man of deep faith, Tommy's life took a transformative turn when he embraced the teachings of the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. His dedication and baptism were a testament to his love for God and his commitment to sharing Bible truths with others. His faith was not just a belief but a way of life, one that he shared generously with others. Tommy's life was enriched by his passion for health and wellness. Known for his meticulous approach to diet, vitamins, and exercise, he was often the last to finish his meals, savoring every bite with the belief that it aided digestion. This conscientious attention to detail was mirrored in his hobbies, which included avidly playing golf and roller skating, activities that brought him great joy. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he left an indelible mark on those he loved, providing them with experiences and wisdom that shaped their lives in profound ways. "Jr" will be truly missed, but definitely not forgotten. A memorial service to honor Tommy's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 5747 N29th St, Milwaukee, WI 53209. For those unable to attend, a livestream will be available via Zoom (Meeting ID: 9801023811, Access Code: 2cor13). (Note: 1:00PM Pacific Time and 4:00PM Eastern Time.) The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Laurel Brook Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Tommy during his battle with dementia. We also express our deep appreciation to family and friends for their condolences, thoughts, prayers, and love during this difficult time. May all of you find comfort in your cherished memories of Tommy and the Bible's promised resurrection as expressed in John 5:28, 29, with the anticipation that soon death will be no more, as assured in Revelation 21:4.
