Thomas Francis Keyes

Thomas Francis Keyes, a cherished soul born on June 14, 1967, in Denver, Colorado, peacefully departed this life on September 12, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. Tom was the son of the late Lloyd and Patricia Keyes and brother to the late Karen Keyes. He is survived by his loving children, Bailey Keyes, alongside Makayla, and Shelby Keyes, as well as his grandchildren Monty, Stormy, Cash, and Kaycee, who were the light of his life. Tom was also survived by his sisters, Mary, Cathy, and Skylur, and was deeply loved by his extended family, including Kendall and Doreen Redman, Yvonne Mannon, Clint and Leslie Snell, and Rosa Lipke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His devoted canine companions, Pete and Dork, were his constant shadows and cherished family members. A proud graduate of Thornton High School, Tom embodied the true cowboy spirit throughout his life. He was a man of the land, living a life filled with the rugged authenticity of the cowboy way. From competing in rodeos, where he was notably ranked 6th in 1993 as a team hitch driver, to training and raising horses, and working in feedyards, his life was a testament to his love for the cowboy lifestyle. Whether in Colorado or Nebraska, Tom left a lasting legacy as a ranch hand and a true embodiment of the cowboy ethos. Tom was a member of several esteemed organizations including AQHA, FQHA, and AKC, reflecting his deep connection to animals and his passion for the cowboy life. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom was a big child at heart, renowned for his playful spirit and penchant for practical jokes. His heart was as vast as the plains he rode, and his love for those around him was boundless. Known affectionately as a "pain in the ass" by his loved ones, it was this very charm that endeared him to all who knew him. In keeping with his wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In memory of Tom, Instead of flowers they are asking for donations to help with funeral cost and retrieval of his belongings from Montana.
