Thomas Earl Murrin, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 84, due to complications from a stroke. Born on November 10, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Thomas led a life marked by dedication, love, and service to others. Tom was the cherished son of Charles Earl Murrin and Thelma Maxine Murrin, who preceded him in death. He is also predeceased by his parents, leaving behind a legacy that deeply touched the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Marie Murrin, with whom he shared many joyful years of marriage, and their loving children, Charles Murrin and Rhonda Murrin. He also leaves behind his son, Jon D. Murrin, and his sister, Wilma Ferrell. Thomas's spirit lives on in his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. A proud veteran, Thomas served in the United States Army for 20 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment and valor. His military service was a cornerstone of his life, and after his retirement, he continued to advocate tirelessly for veterans, ensuring their voices were heard and their needs met. This passion for service to others defined his professional career and left an indelible mark on the community. Thomas was a man of many interests. He found peace in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in fishing and his love for horses. These hobbies brought him a sense of tranquility and connection to nature, which he cherished deeply. In addition to his immediate family, Thomas is survived by his brothers Jerry (Nancy) Murrin and Ronnie (Lou) Murrin, and his sister Kathy (Ed) Walters. His family was his pride and joy, and he took great delight in spending time with them, sharing stories and creating lasting memories. A service to honor and celebrate Thomas's life will be held on July 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Ft. Harrison in Helena, Montana. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay tribute to a man whose life was a testament to love, courage, and dedication. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting Thomas's generous spirit and his lifelong commitment to helping others. Thomas Earl Murrin will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the profound impact he had on the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy of service and love will continue to inspire us all.
