Thomas Anthony Delmore, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with a long illness. Born on July 28, 1952, in Alameda, California, Tom's life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love. Tom was the beloved son of Raymond and Helen Delmore, who instilled in him strong values and a deep sense of family. He was predeceased by his wife, Julane, with whom he shared 28 wonderful years of marriage, as well as his parents; sisters, Gail Sprott and Sarah Delmore; and brother, Donald Delmore. He is survived by his devoted sons, Thomas Julian Delmore and Daniel Paul Delmore, who were his pride and joy, and his dear siblings Raymond II Delmore, Richard Delmore (Karen), Paul Delmore, Joyce Gallup (John), and Kathleen Delmore. Tom’s legacy also lives on in the hearts of his extended family and countless friends. Tom was a man of intelligence and dedication. He was a member of the first graduating class that completed all eight grades at St. Barnabas Parochial School, an accomplishment that laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He then became a proud Jet, graduating from Encinal High School in 1970, where he formed lifelong friendships and began to discover his passions. In 1974, Tom married the love of his life, Julane Valdez, at St. Barnabas Church, beginning a beautiful journey together in Alameda, where they lovingly raised their two sons. Tom and Julane's partnership was marked by mutual respect, unwavering support, and shared laughter, creating a home filled with warmth and joy. Professionally, Tom dedicated many years of his life to the field of ink technology, working as a supervisor at Sun Chemical in San Leandro. His expertise and creativity were instrumental in developing the vibrant ink colors seen on everyday consumer products, from soda cans to toothpaste. Tom took great pride in his work and was admired for his leadership, innovation, and ability to bring color into the lives of many. Tom was a man of grace, known for his gentle spirit, quick wit, and generous heart. He loved sports, and was a great fan of SF Giants baseball and FortyNiner football teams. He enjoyed time spent with family, sharing stories, and offering a listening ear or a comforting word to those in need. He loved working with numbers and excelled in solving math problems. His presence was a gift to all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on April 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Alameda Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 1415 Oak Street, Alameda. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember a life well-lived, sharing in the stories and memories that made Tom so special to us all. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tom's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of giving and his commitment to making the world a better place. Thomas Anthony Delmore will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted brother, and a true friend. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide us. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with Julane and his family who have gone before him.
