In Loving Memory of Thomas Allan Simpson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Allan Simpson, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, on March 24, 2026, in El Cajon, California. Born on January 18, 1952, in Long Beach, California, Tom's journey on this earth was marked by love, dedication, and service to others.
Tom was the cherished son of Lucille Vivian Simpson and Douglas Carl Simpson, who instilled in him the values of integrity and compassion. He was greeted in the next life by his beloved wife, Patricia Simpson, and his parents, whose memories he held close throughout his life.
A proud veteran, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, where he served his country with honor and distinction. His time in the military was a testament to his steadfast dedication and commitment to duty, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life.
Tom's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted sons, John David Simpson and Phillip Carl Simpson, who were the light of his life. He was a loving brother to his sister, Terri Lynn Stevens, and a doting grandfather to his cherished grandchild, who brought immense happiness to his days.
With a heart as vast as his spirit, Tom was a man of many talents and interests. He possessed an innate ability to connect with people, offering a listening ear and wise counsel to all who knew him. His sense of humor and infectious laughter could light up any room, leaving a lasting impact on every life he touched.
Throughout his life, Tom was a pillar of strength, not just for his family but for his community as well. He was known for his generosity and his unwavering support for those in need. Whether it was volunteering his time or extending a helping hand, Tom's kindness knew no bounds.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we remember Tom not only for his accomplishments but also for the love he shared so freely. His legacy is one of compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the extraordinary journey of a man who was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tom's memory to a veteran's charity of your choice, in recognition of his service and dedication to his country.
Rest in peace, dear Tom. Your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know and love you.
