Tom departed this world peacefully at a hospice, having bravely faced and fought cancer with unmatched courage and dignity. Born on December 1, 1956, Tom was a beacon of strength, love, and unwavering devotion. A life partner to Donna Windal for 27 cherished years, Tom's life was defined by his boundless compassion and selflessness, particularly evident in his tireless dedication to Donna, nurturing and supporting her through life's many challenges. His gentle spirit and steadfast loyalty left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Tom was a beloved figure in the lives of Donna's children, who he considered his own. He is remembered with deep affection by Stacy (Patrick) Laroche, Jessica Windal and her partner Marco, and William Windal, Jr. His kindness, wisdom, and quiet humor enriched their lives and guided them through the ebbs and flows of life. Tom's legacy of love and care will continue to shine brightly in their hearts, a testament to the profound impact he had on his family. Throughout his life, Tom demonstrated an extraordinary capacity for empathy and understanding. His natural ability to connect with others and his willingness to lend a helping hand made him a cherished friend and confidant to many. His gentle demeanor and warm presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to meet him. In accordance with Tom's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his memory. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Marion County Hospice for their exceptional care and support during Tom's final days. Their kindness and dedication provided comfort and solace to Tom and his family, for which they are eternally thankful.
