March 14, 1938 – March 24, 2026 Thomas A. Sallee, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on March 14, 1938, in the quaint town of Brownwood, Texas, Thomas was the cherished son of Richard and Bessie Sallee, who instilled in him the values of hard work, love, and resilience. Thomas's early years were spent in the heart of Texas, where he graduated from Clyde High School in 1956. It was during these formative years that he developed a lifelong passion for the great outdoors, a passion that would accompany him throughout his life. An avid big game hunter, Thomas found joy and solace in the wilderness, often spending days camping and boating, marveling at the beauty of nature. In his personal life, Thomas was a devoted family man. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara J. Sallee, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and adventures. Together, they built a family grounded in love and mutual respect. Thomas was also preceded in death by his parents, his brother RJ Sallee, and his daughter Debra Sallee Burden, whom he cherished deeply. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth through his surviving family members, who will continue to celebrate his life and the values he imparted. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Atkinson and her husband Carl, and Patricia Ann Sallee, as well as his son, William Darrel Sallee and his wife Charlene. His family brought him immense joy, especially his seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who were the light of his later years. Though he has departed from this world, Thomas A. Sallee leaves behind a treasure trove of memories that will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew him. His spirit of adventure, love for the outdoors, and unwavering dedication to family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have been part of his remarkable journey.
