Theresa Staronka, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend to many, peacefully passed away on February 21st, 2026. Born on May 15, 1938, in Clifton, New Jersey, Theresa's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her nurturing spirit, and her boundless love for her family and community. A woman of profound faith, Theresa was an active member of Saint Mary Catholic Church, where her presence was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Her strong belief in the power of love and kindness was evident in every aspect of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Theresa had an extraordinary talent for making others feel welcome and valued. Her quick wit and warm smile were ever-present, and she was always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. Known for her kindness and generosity, she touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her love for gardening was a cherished hobby, and she took immense pleasure in tending to her vegetable garden. Theresa's garden was not just a source of nourishment but a place where she grew and shared the bounty of her labor with neighbors, especially her cherished tomatoes. Her green thumb was a reflection of her nurturing spirit and her desire to cultivate beauty and abundance in the world. Theresa's legacy is carried on by her family, who were the center of her universe. She was the proud mother of JulieAnn LaFavers and the doting grandmother to Gregory, Eva, Holly, Ashley, Christopher, and Stephan. Her heart was further filled with joy by her fifteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless happiness and pride. Theresa's life will be celebrated in a service held at St Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, located at 400 Mt Prospect Ave, Clifton, NJ 07012, on February 28th, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to join in honoring her memory and celebrating a life beautifully lived.
