February 2, 1956 — September 24, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Theresa Johnson on September 24, 2026. Born on February 2, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, Theresa was a beacon of love, resilience, and wisdom. Her life, though marked by a courageous battle with illness, was a testament to strength and perseverance. Her spirit never waned, and the love she shared remains a guiding light for all who were blessed to know her. Theresa was the cherished daughter of the late Nathaniel McClendon and Memorie Houston. She was predeceased by her parents, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in her heavenly home. Theresa was the beloved wife of Thomas Johnson Sr., with whom she shared 27 beautiful years of marriage. Their union, celebrated on December 16, 1994, in Defiance, Ohio, was filled with laughter, love, and the joy of raising a family together. Theresa was the proud and devoted mother of Alex Johnson Jr., and she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth cherished by her surviving children: Terrance and Timothy Johnson, Thomas Johnson Jr., Michael Pierson, Emric Johnson, Mario Johnson Sr., Angela Garth, Trudie Lindsey, Rhonda Brown, Lori Hall, Warletta Brookins, Towneer Gates, and Latricia Carter. Her siblings, Betty Webster, Nathaniel McClendon II, Aneresa Green, Raymond McClendon, and Dock McClendon, join her grandchildren, Demetrius Buckingham, Belinda Flores, and Faith Flores, in mourning her loss and celebrating her life. Theresa's life was a tapestry of vibrant moments filled with family gatherings, laughter, and games. She found joy in activities that brought people together, whether it was skating, bowling, or a spirited game of Spades. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, and her financial acumen was a gift she generously shared with those around her. Theresa's wisdom was a beacon for many, offering practical advice and guidance that will be cherished for years to come. Her memory will be lovingly held by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who became family. Each person she touched carries a piece of her heart, and her spirit will live on in the stories and laughter shared in her name. A service to honor Theresa's life will be held at 11:00 AM on October 8, 2026, at Corinth Church, located at 4901 Providence Street.
