Theresa Inabinet, a devoted matriarch, cherished friend, and compassionate caregiver, peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and service. Born on September 2, 1955, in the serene town of Oak city, North Carolina, Theresa was the beloved daughter of Jessie and Alice Mayo, whose nurturing spirits undoubtedly influenced her own caring nature. Theresa was predeceased by her loving spouse, Isaac Inabinet, her son, Anthony Mayo, her dear parents, and her brother, William Mayo. She is survived by her son, Kareem Mayo, who carries forward her strength and kindness. Her legacy lives on in her nine grandchildren: Kareesha Mayo, Ny'Ana Mayo, Brooklyn Mayo, Kareema Mayo, Anthony Mayo Jr., Delon Mayo, Kareem Mayo Jr., Tyrell Mayo, and Mark Anthony Mayo. Additionally, she leaves behind eight great-grandchildren, including Sabrina Santiago, Jorge Santiago, Mordecia Santiago, Jace Mayo Aubrey Rose Mayo, Alaska Marie Mayo, Amaya Sky Mayo and Ayesha Elise Mayo Her siblings, brothers Ronnie Spruill (Angela Spruill) and Ricky Wallace, and sisters Evita Reddice, Deborah Mayo, Brenda Gardner (Eddie Gardner) and Jessica Rawles (Daryl Rawles will forever hold her memory close. Special Auntie Mary Wallace also survives her, best friend Monalisa Bentley Mitchell alongside numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends who were touched by Theresa's generous spirit. For over 30 years, Theresa dedicated her professional life to the medical field, where her gentle hands and caring heart brought comfort to countless individuals. Her career was a testament to her lifelong commitment to caring for others, and she retired in 2025, having fulfilled her vocation with grace and dedication. Theresa was a proud member of Have Faith Ministries, where she found community and spiritual nourishment. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, inspiring her actions and relationships. Theresa's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She loved nothing more than cooking for her family, turning every meal into a feast of love and togetherness. She also had a flair for fashion, ensuring she was impeccably dressed for every occasion, embodying elegance and confidence. A service to honor and celebrate Theresa's life will be held on August 21, 2026, at 3:00PM at Have Faith Ministries, located at 910 North John St, Goldsboro, NC 27530. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Duke University Hospital for their compassionate care during Theresa's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Theresa's memory to a charitable organization of your choice, a fitting tribute to a woman whose life was dedicated to helping others. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
