Theosco “TJ” Middlebrook, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away tragically in a car accident. Born on August 31, 1974, in Bristol, Tennessee, TJ was a beacon of love and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing him. TJ was the cherished son of Mary Trusilla Irving and James Courtney Middlebrook. His life was a testament to the values instilled in him by his family: love, faith, and service. For over three decades, TJ shared his life with his devoted wife, Kiesha “Shugg” Level. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and warmth in Louisville, Kentucky, where they resided for the past 20 years. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his wife Kiesha, his sisters Janet Easley, Schamonda Middlebrook, Denita Middlebrook, his brothers Eric Smith, James Middlebrook, and Jamaryon Middlebrook, and his baby sister Tracie Level. Each of them will remember TJ for his unwavering support and the joy he brought into their lives. Professionally, TJ dedicated himself to his role as a Maintenance Supervisor for the past three years, where his skill with his hands and his problem-solving abilities shone through. His colleagues and friends knew him as a man who could fix anything and who approached every task with enthusiasm and dedication. TJ was a man of many talents and passions. Whether he was fishing, gardening, or cooking, he did so with love and an infectious spirit. His deep-rooted faith was evident in everything he did. A God-fearing man, TJ lived by principles of selflessness and kindness, characteristics that earned him the love and respect of everyone he met. Always ready with a kind word or positive advice, TJ had a profound ability to connect with people. He was the first to offer help and support, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family and friends. His conversations were filled with wisdom and warmth, and he had an innate talent for lifting the spirits of those around him. A private funeral service will be held on September 12, 2026, to honor TJ's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting TJ's generous spirit and his lifelong commitment to helping others.
