Born on August 23, 1966, in the close-knit town of Welch, West Virginia, Thelma was the cherished daughter of Ted and Joyce Blair. Her childhood in Welch, West Virginia and later in Chicago, Illinois was filled with adventure, love, and an abundance of family gatherings. Her parents instilled in her values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family—principles she carried with her throughout her life. Thelma was a beacon of warmth and compassion, always ready with a listening ear or a comforting hug. Her laughter was infectious, and her spirit was unyielding, even in the face of adversity. She was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Mindy Selph and Ray Palmer, whom she considered her greatest achievements. Thelma took immense pride in her children's accomplishments and embraced her role as their guiding light and steadfast supporter. In addition to her children, Thelma is survived by her parents, Ted and Joyce Blair, who were her anchors and greatest cheerleaders throughout her life. Her bond with her brother, Ted Blair, and her sister, Janet Blair Thill, was unbreakable, marked by shared memories and a deep-seated love that only siblings can know.
