It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry Sue Roseberry Bird, who left us on August 3, 2026. Born on November 17, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, Terry was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and beloved child of God. Her journey through life was marked by kindness, humor, and an unyielding spirit.
Terry was the cherished daughter of the late Estelle Roseberry Johnson step father Rodney Johnson and Samual D Roseberry. She was also predeceased by her brother, David Lee Roseberry, and her sister, Shirley Ritch. Her legacy of love and laughter is carried on by her surviving family: Sister, Judy Owen; Children, Patricia Powell (Ronnie), George Rodney Bird, Shannon Loden (John), and Melanie Paige Bird; and her seven treasured grandchildren, Ron Powell, Michael and Sarah Loden, and Aiden, Rodney, Michael, and Serenity Briscoe. Along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends!
Throughout her career, Terry dedicated herself to her work with diligence and creativity. She was a skilled seamstress at Medline Industries and also excelled as a garment presser, where her attention to detail was always evident. Her love for sewing was not just a profession but also a cherished hobby, alongside her passions for reading and gardening. Her plants was a testament to her nurturing spirit, a place where beauty and tranquility flourished under her care.
Terry was a woman of remarkable strength and willpower, qualities that defined her life and inspired those around her. Her sense of humor and warm-hearted nature brought joy to many, and she will be remembered for her ability to bring a smile to anyone's face.
A service to honor and celebrate Terry's life will be held on August 10, 2026, visitation starts at 11:30 and service begins at 1:00 PM at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home, located at 5360 Deerfoot Parkway, Trussville, Alabama. Graveside service will be same day at 2:00 at Forest Crest Cemetery located at 5730 Highway 78 East, Birmingham AL. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.
